Why are the photos deleted?
We schedule the deletion of old photos for security and privacy reasons, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. According to the updated Privacy Policy, the standard storage period for photos is now 3.5 years from their publication. We have found that this period is generally sufficient for both families and schools to obtain the photos they want and need. However, the Customer has the option to extend the storage period of their own photos on a photo code basis.
Extending the storage period for photos
If you have received a message about your storage period expiring, you can extend it either directly via the link in the message, or alternatively through the menu in the upper corner of our online store. The message is sent to you approximately two weeks before the photos are deleted, and we will also send you a reminder message containing information on the deadline for extending the storage period.
I want my old photos deleted
You do not need to take any action for your photos to be deleted; this will be done automatically after the date stated in the reminder message, if you have not extended the storage period. Once the photos have been deleted, unfortunately it is no longer possible to restore them for sale.
Please note that if you have opted out of receiving communications related to your photos, you will not receive a notification when your photos are scheduled to be removed from the service.
